Sara’s Barn.

Sara has had her barn in West Newbury, MA for over 20 years, where she lives & works. Living on the same site as her training barn means that she can provide the care required for the various horses she has in for training, which is very important to her. Even on the days when she has been out teaching all day, she always goes down for ‘late night’ to ensure all the horses are happy & healthy before tucking them in for the night.

She has had many so called ‘un-trainable’ horses stay with her over the years who, under Sara’s dedicated care and understanding, relax and begin to enjoy life and their work again, and for Sara there is no greater pleasure than that. She strongly believes that horses perform at their best when treated with respect and patience and when given the space and chance to ‘work it out’, rather than being pushed or harassed into doing something by a rider. It is this approach to horsemanship that enables Sara to get the best out of both the horses, and riders, she trains.

She will also take in boarders to her barn, when space allows, who even though they may not be directly trained by Sara all benefit from being under her care and living in a calm, caring environment.

If you are interested in discussing training or boarding your horse with Sara, please contact her using the details on the contact Sara page.
